TSPs Roundup: Day 1 3x16 from the PLL Set

Here's your TSPs (Tweets, Spoilers & Photos) Roundup for Day 1 of shooting 3x16 from the PLL set! Mar, writer and director (first-time, we might add), tweeted, "It my first rodeo, friends. Day of of directing epi 316. Wish me luck. #pllexcited" - and we wish Mar good luck, of course!

And it's not just Mar who's excited for today, but also Kyle tweeted this, "It's Wednesday! You know what that means? @imarleneking starts directing her first episode today! T-Minus 3 hours 14 minutes! Who's excited?" - we are, of course! Andy tweeted this from set as well, with some high praise about Mar, tweeting, "Congratulations @imarleneking ... day one directing a finale-worthy episode of #PLL ... and it's only episode 3 [of 3B]!", in which Mar tweeted back, "thanks Andy. I'm channeling my inner @LeslilinkaG today!" - haha, wow, sounds amazing!

The first-day director tweets to Mar was not just restricted to the writers, but also the cast, with Troian tweeting, "@imarleneking happy first day, herr direktor! Can't wait to come play tonight." and Keegan, "Today begins @imarleneking directorial debut! #epic #PLL 316" - looks like Troian will be on set later at night for 3x16 shooting! Norman, having just finished his last episode of PLL for S3, on a flight to NY to start shooting for another project, tweeted this also, "My love and good wishes to @imarleneking as she begins directing #PLL 316 today!" and also Joseph tweeted this, "Welcome the newest #PLL director: @imarleneking" as well!

Fred also tweeted this from set (not sure if he's on set for 3x16, or prepping for a different episode maybe), "its 102 in rosewood!!! and it's really hot outside as well ;)" - we're sure it is, but PLL still has to film in this heat, and we appreciate their hard work all the same! Well, we assume he's on set for 3x16, when he tweeted this, with the photo below, "The wonderful and talented director writer and all around queen bee @imarleneking on set!" - aww, looking gorgeous as always!

Next to tweet us was Mar herself, with this photo of the screen where the director watches shooting from (below on the left) - but who could it be? Tyler? And who's on the other side of the screen? And this one as well, with the photo below on the right, with Lindsey tweeting back, "and doing it in style. :)" - first shooting for Mar, we assume! Looks awesome! If Lindsey's on set, could that be her on the other screen?

 

Jonell, the co-writer of the episode 3x16, was also on set, and took another photo of the director's creen, again, not revealing the actors on set in this scene, tweeting, "Marlene is "A" natural at directing!", with the photo below on the left! The person facing the back of the camera definitely seems to be Tyler, but is Lindsey on the other side possibly, or someone else?

Also, Fred tweeted this, "Hanging with A in the heat! ", with the photo below on the left - is this from "A"'s lair, or will it be used in the coming episodes for something else? And he also tweeted the photo on the right - could this be being prepared to be used in 3x16? What's with the creepy mannequins? Used in Rosewood Boutique perhaps with CeCe?

One of PLL's editors, Lois, was also on set, who tweeted, "Having fun on set with @imarleneking @jonell_lennon @KyleBown" and also this, "@imarleneking directing #PrettyLittleLiars ep 316" with the photo below on the left! We sure are getting lots of photos for 3x16 and we hope it continues! Ashley was also on set, tweeting this, "Director @imarleneking is torturing me on set @shaymitch is my motivation" - not sure if Shay is actually on set, but at least she's there in spirit, with Shay tweeting back, "haahaha I love you guys! xo " (aww, so sweet!) And we love Ash's hair as well!

Wow, and so many TSPs, and it's only lunchtime on set, with Kyle tweeting, "almost lunch time on @imarleneking's first day of directing. Hanging on set with @jonell_lennon @loisblumenthal and, of course, @AshBenzo" - haha, of course, of course!

Well, it looks like Shay is on set, as she tweeted this, with the awesome photo of Shay below on the left, "Exciting day on set today... @imarleneking not only wrote this episode but is directing it as well!!! Congrats Mar, you are one talented woman :) #prettylittleliars" - we couldn't disagree, and seems like a very eventful day on set!

Mar then tweeted, at night, from set, "Time to get creepy on set.... Even I'm scared tonight." - wow, creepy scenes with mannequins? We'd be creeped out too! Also, Jonell tweeted this, ""rain" on the backlot. #PLL #316", with the photo below - what brings the rain to Rosewood? Storms perhaps? But that's never a good sign! Mar gave us a further clue to this rain scene, tweeting, "Last scene of the night. A beautiful end to a perfect day in Rosewood.", - maybe some romance in the rain to end the night? Also, Mar added that "the ever so beautiful and talented @Sleepinthegardn" was in the scene - but anyone else?

Lois also tweeted her congrats to Mar nearer the end of the day, tweeting, "congratulations on a great 1st day! Looking forward to editing this episode!" - and we sure look forward to seeing it! And late night (or should we say 'early morning'?) on set, Kyle tweeted this, "Yup. It's 1am and we're still shooting. Here's a little secret for you: There's nowhere else I'd rather be! #PLL" - the PLL cast and crew sure have been shooting into the night recently, especially for the Halloween episode!

And here's more clues for what's going on in the scene, with Jonell tweeting, "The lovely @Sleepinthegardn delivers a beautiful performance in the last scene of the day." - beautifully tragic, sad, joyous, heartbreaking? Who knows?

 

At the end of the day (or night), Mar tweeted her thanks to everyone, with, "Thank u @SleepintheGardn @shaymitch @AshBenzo @KeeganAllen @LadyShawste @tylerjblacburn @jonell_lennon @kylebown @loisbumenthal luv u!" and also "And @lisacochranpll, there are no words to express my appreciation for your support. Xo" - so many people to thank, but we would like to thank the PLL cast for giving us so many TSPs to think about today!

 

Late with his congratulations and best wishes, as he well knows, Ian also tweeted Mar with, "@imarleneking I'm a little late with the well wishes, but happy happy directing and best of luck on this episode!" - it's the thought that counts anyway, nevermind if it's late!
