Spoilers and teases for the finale have been abound on Twitter, especially from Mar, the writer of the episode, who tweeted this, "For all of you who have asked... Yes, the betrayer who will be unmasked in the summer finale is a member of the A-TEAM." - also, the 3x12 synopsis has said that the betrayer is someone close to them - who could it be? Someone they trusted in, and confided in? One of the PLLs' significant others (Paige, Toby, Ezra and/or Caleb)? One of the PLLs' parents even?

Also, with regards to the betrayer, Mar tweeted this, "Until August 28 the "betrayer" will be known as "Shim who shall not be named."" - ooh, very ominous, and who do you think will be revealed to be as being on the "A" team? When further asked whether the betrayal will be to one of the PLLs or all of them, Mar tweeted, "My lips are sealed" - we have the feeling that the close betrayal will be centered around one particular PLL, but all the PLLs will have trusted this person beforehand...our inklings still possibly point to one of the PLLs' significant others, but who else do you think it could be? Who else do the PLLs trust?

And in a weird turn of events, when asked whether Ian was the betrayer on Twitter by a fan, he tweeted, "yep" - somehow we don't think the PLL cast and crew would spoiler who shim who shall not be named, but could Ezra really be the betrayer of the PLLs?
