Here's your roundup of Joseph's tweets and spoilers!
The Writing Process
Joseph informed us a bit more of the writing process, tweeting, "We work out the story together, go off and write the episode then bring it back to the group.", and after bringing it back, the PLL writers as a whole, moderate the script, so it sounds like one voice, and a couple of drafts later, and the script is ready to go!
3x08
Firstly, when asked about the title, "Stolen Kisses", Joseph tweeted, "Mostly it's a reference to the title of a film by one of my favorite directors, Francois Truffaut." - during pre-production for 3x08, we remember Joseph tweeting us the title, with the poster from the film!
With regards to the 3x08 MuchMusic promo, and the circulating Wranna kiss (which has had a diverse profile of reactions, even though it only hit the net a couple of hours ago!), a fan asked about how it appeared that Hanna had already gotten over Caleb, but Joseph tweeted this, "She is so not over him." - we were awfully surprised to see that Hanna was the one initiating the kiss with Wren, rather than the other way around, but we did speculate whether or not this is just to make Caleb jealous, or even Spencer, who is working on Maya's site with Caleb, her ex. Is she jealous herself, and is this why she kisses Wren? Perhaps...
Although, Joseph had previously teased that Haleb fans would be happy with the way Hanna would stick up for Caleb in 3x08, leading some fans to question Joseph, who tweeted the following, "Context is everything. A promo is a promo is a promo." - definitely looks like there is more to the story, but why hurt Wren and confuse his own feelings possibly, to get back Caleb in the process?
But when asked for a spoiler for Haleb, Joseph tweeted this line from 3x08 presumbably, tweeting, "Hanna and Caleb: "By any means necessary."" - by any means necessary to do what? Will Hanna do anything to get her Caleb back together, even if that includes kissing Wren? Or is it the other way round perhaps? Speaking of Caleb, Joseph described him as "easy-going" - will this be in reference to Hanna kissing Wren, his attitude with Spencer with the webiste, or something else entirely?
Moving to another ship for 3x08, when asked to tease an Ezria line for today's episode, Joseph tweeted, ""It's not too late to ditch this and find a miniature golf course."" - we're gonna guess that this is on the night of the reception at the museum, and probably Ezra saying this, we think! This further shows Ezra's reluctant to attend this event, and is he worried about what Dianne may let slip about him and his past? Probably - we'll find out soon enough!
Moving away from shipper news for 3x08, when asked what's ahead for Toby and Caleb in today's episode, Josepht tweeted, "Missions, yes. Together, no." - we know what mission Caleb will be on tomorrow, but what will Toby be doing? Trying to find out what Spencer's hiding? Talking with Jason perhaps about it? We're not too sure...
3x13
Joseph gave us a bit of an update as to what's going on in terms of Halloween 2.0 now that the episode has wrapped, tweeting, "We're just starting to cut the show together and I hear his performance footage is grand." - sounds awesome, and we can't wait to see the performances from Adam, who was confirmed to be, by Joseph, "all Adam all the time", confirming he has a guest star role as himself, and not as a character!
Also, when asked about the music being used and/or performed in the Halloween episode, Joseph tweeted this, "We're working with songs from the Adam's new album." - sounds good, and we're sure the music will be suitably crafted to fit the mood of Halloween in Rosewood!
When asked to describe Spoby in 3x13, Joseph tweeted, "classic" - in reference to costumer perhaps? Will they take a traditional approach to Halloween, or is it rather their interaction which is classic for Spoby? Hmm...but he did confirm, tweeting that Spoby's costumes do correspond with each other! And when confronted with the idea that Spencer and Toby's costumes look a lot like Jack and Rose from the film Titanic, Joseph tweeted, "I detect more leaks!" - could this be correct?
Shipper News
When asked to say something about Wranna's relationship, Joseph tweeted, "Mona's in the middle." - does this mean that it's only Mona who links these two together, and that if Mona does leave Radley, or Wren doesn't volunteer there, their relationship ceases? Probably, or will Mona try to complicate matters in their relationship of sorts?
Furthermore, when asked to elaborate further, Joseph tweeted this, "Well, I wouldn't exactly call it a relationship." - does that mean the buck stops in 3x08? Was this Wranna ship of sort just a one-time fling thing, with some sexual tension between the two, but not really accumulating to anything solid (similar to the Ezra/Aria/Jason love triangle in S2, around the same timing during the season last year)? Disappointing for Wranna 'shippers, but very hopeful then for Haleb 'shippers! To be honest, we didn't think Wranna really stood a chance (or any ship really does) against the fan favourite ships of Ezria, Haleb, Spoby and Emaya.
Joseph further confirmed our thoughts on the matter, tweeting, there is "more than hope" for Haleb right now, sounding very much like Wranna is a fling of sorts, and Haleb will be reunited sometime or another (we reckon in the 3A finale!)
Moving to a completely different ship, Joseph tweeted this for Spoby: "Toby wants answers" - although not a spoiler as such, since we kind of guessed that and we've heard about it from other members of the PLL cast and crew, we hope Toby goes searching for answers soon! Will Toby find a crucial piece of the puzzle to help the Liars in their own search for answers, as Caleb will help them do also in 3x08?
And jumping on board to another ship, when asked why there was no Jaria, despite the fact that there are some Jaria shippers out there, Joseph tweeted, "Sometimes of the problem is physical availability of actors, not everybody is a series regular we can use in every episode." - so Joseph's reasoning for some ships not being in some episodes is that not every recurring and guest star characters can be in every episode, which therefore diminishes the lack of screen time for certain ships! So, shippers don't despair if your ship is not in every episode - it doesn't mean your ship is not safe or still going strong!
With regards to Ezria, after just speaking about Jaria, to describe them in one word, Joseph tweeted, "Literary-dreamer" - good, or bad? What do you think?
On to another ship, when asked for a spoiler for Paily, Joseph tweeted, "watch and see", in which he elaborated, tweeting, "I know it sounds coy, but a lot happens tomorrow and I don't want to let the steam out." - we'll trust Joseph's judgement for now, but we know there's a lot of Paily tomorrow, and he probably doesn't want to ruin some potential surprises!
